NBA Chicago Bulls vs Brooklyn Nets Spread and Prediction

Two squads sitting in and out of the playoff places of the Eastern Conference are clashing today, when the Brooklyn Nets (27-24), looking to bounce back after their latest defeat, are hosting the struggling Chicago Bulls (11-39), who have won only once in their last fourteen games.

Date/Time: 01-29-2019, 19:30 EDT

Spread: Brooklyn Nets -7

Total: +218

Brooklyn Nets have a 27-24 record (29-22 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the 6th place of the East. In their last game they saw a six-game winning streak getting snapped by losing on the road against the Celtics with a 104-112 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by D’Angelo Russell with 19.3 ppg, adding a team high 6.4 dimes per game. He is followed by Caris LeVert with 18.4 ppg, 4.3 boards and 3.7 dimes per game but he is out with an injury.

Chicago Bulls have a 11-39 record (21-28-1 against the spread) so far this season and are currently tied with the Knicks in the second to last place of the East. They have lost 13 of their last 14 matches and in their last game they lost at home against the Cavaliers with a 101-104 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Zach LaVine with 22.9 ppg, adding 4.4 boards and 4.2 dimes per game. He is followed by Lauri Markkanen with 17.1 ppg and 7.4 boards per game.

Nets have won both previous meetings against the Bulls this season, both on the road and by an average of 10 points. Nets have a 15-11 home record, while the Bulls are 6-18 on the road. Nets are better offensively, scoring 111.6 ppg to Bulls’ 101.1, while Bulls are better defensively, allowing 111 ppg to Nets’ 111.4 ppg. Nets have better percentages both in field goals (45.3% to 44.2%) and in 3-pointers (36.1% to 34.9%). Nets are also better in boards grabbed (46.2 to 41.8) and in dimes made (23.3 to 21.6), while Bulls are better in turnovers committed (14.2 to 14.7). Nets are the absolute favorite at home and Vegas odds give them a -7 spread and expect them to beat the odds against an inferior Bulls team.
