The two worse squads of the league face each other today, when the Chicago Bulls (11-38), who have won once in their last thirteen games, are hosting the Cleveland Cavaliers (9-41), who have been terrible having won only once in their last nineteen and both teams are looking to bounce back today.
Date/Time: 01-27-2019, 15:30 EDT
Spread: Chicago Bulls -4
Chicago Bulls have a 11-38 record (21-27-1 against the spread) so far this season and are currently tied with the Knicks in the second to last place of the East. They have lost 12 of their last 13 matches and in their last game they lost at home against the Clippers with a 101-106 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Zach LaVine with 23 ppg, adding 4.2 boards and 4.2 dimes per game. He is followed by Lauri Markkanen with 17 ppg and 7.2 boards per game.
Cleveland Cavaliers have a 9-41 record (21-28-1 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the last place of the whole NBA. They have lost 18 of their last 19 games and in their last game they lost at home against the Heat with a 94-100 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Kevin Love with 19 ppg, adding 3.5 dimes and a team high 13.5 boards per game but he is out with an injury. He is followed by Jordan Clarkson with 16.5 ppg and 3.2 boards off the bench, while Collin Sexton adds 14.5 ppg.
Bulls have won all three previous meetings against the Cavaliers earlier this season, winning the previous home game by one point. Bulls have a 5-19 home record, while the Cavaliers are 4-22 on the road. Cavaliers are better offensively, scoring 102.3 ppg to Bulls’ 101.1 ppg, while Bulls are better defensively, allowing 111.2 ppg to Cavs’ 113.6. Both teams have identical field goal percentage (44.2%), while Cavs have a better 3-point percentage (35.4% to 34.9%). Both teams are close in boards grabbed (41.9 to 41.7), while Cavs are better in turnovers committed (12.8 to 14.2) and Bulls are better in dimes made (21.6 to 20). Bulls have a 3-0 lead against the Cavs this season and Vegas odds give them a -4 spread and expect them to beat the odds for the home win.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Chicago Bulls Prediction: Chicago Bulls -4 (-110)
