Chandler Hutchison’s deal with Nike means a lot

Chandler Hutchison, one of the Chicago Bull’s first-round NBA Draft picks, signed a multi-year deal with Nike. Although many specifics of the deal were not disclosed, this is great news to hear.

Per Nick DePaula of ESPN, Chandler Hutchison has signed a multi-year deal with Nike. This means a lot for the Bulls organization.

Endorsements by apparel companies are becoming a trend, making headlines many times this summer. Hutchison’s deal seemed to catch a lot of attention across the NBA.

Brands are aggressively targeting certain rookie players with potential early. Hutchison, drafted with the 22nd pick by Chicago, is an energetic all-around player that is looking to make a name for himself in the NBA.

Along with Hutchison, the Bulls have signed Wendell Carter Jr., Jabari Parker and Antonio Blakeney to add more depth to the Bulls young rotation. With a deeper Bulls roster, it will be difficult to determine Hutchison’s niche, but he will certainly play and play hard.

Nike believes that Chandler Hutchison has what it takes to represent them on and off the court and the Bulls have high faith in him. Hutchison’s collegiate resume speaks for itself. Chandler Hutchison was a flat-out star for Boise State during his breakout senior season. He recorded the first known triple-double in Boise State men’s basketball history with 23 points 10 rebounds and 10 assists and set the single-game school scoring record with 44 points.

Hutchison is definitely a stat sheet stuffer. He racked up 8 assists against the Hawks in the summer league and had a double-double putting up 16 points and 11 rebounds against the Mavericks, finishing 3-for-7 from deep.

Chandler Hutchison’s deal with Nike is like the guacamole on a Chipotle burrito bowl. He has already shown he can compete at a high level, now he is getting an added bonus.

It will be captivating to see Chandler Hutchison contribute and develop with this loaded Bulls team this upcoming season.
